We had a great Summer Chant Schola again this year!
Our chant schola will sing occasionally for specific liturgies this fall and winter. Stay tuned for more details.
-
Repertoire will consist of a capella Gregorian Chant (English and Latin) and simple choral pieces.
-
The Schola sings from the loft in the back of the church, so stair climbing is required.
-
Participation is open to interested singers (middle school and up) who are attending the Mass where the Schola is singing and can come to rehearsal before Mass. You do not need to be a Cathedral parishioner to participate.
-
Families are welcome to sing together (even younger than middle school - all ages are welcome to come with their grownups).
-
Music reading skills are helpful but not required.
Rehearsals: 45 minutes before Mass in the choir room (downstairs by the elevator)
Save the date:
-
Saturday, December 19 - Rorate Caeli Mass at 7 AM (rehearsal details TBD)
Contact Abbey Dupuy, Director of Music, for more information.
Repertoire can be found here as it is added.
